Easy Cinnamon French Toast

Wednesday, February 17, 2016

One day I had some Pepperidge Farm cinnamon bread and thought "hey, this might be good as french toast" and then a delicious breakfast was born. I'm sure I'm not the only one to ever think of this but it is literally the easiest way to make cinnamon french toast (and it is oh, so delicious too!).

Basically, you take a slice of bread, dip it in your egg mixture, place it on the pan and let it cook! See, could not be easier!!

Our BIL & SIL got us a griddle for Christmas and we love using it! It's the perfect size for making breakfasts like this. We won a drawing from doing our registry with Bed, Bath & Beyond and got this neat hand mixer. I really like using the whisk attachment to mix the eggs and milk together so that it has a very even consistency.

Ingredients - Makes 6 pieces of french toast
- 2 eggs
- Milk
- Pepperidge Farm cinnamon bread
- Syrup

1. Add eggs and some milk (depending on the consistency that you like will depend on how much milk you add) and mix together until well blended

2. Dip your bread into the egg mixture, making sure the entire slice of bread is covered

3. Place on your skillet and cook until all the egg is cooked through

4. Add syrup and enjoy!

  1. That looks delicious! Around the holidays I like to use that bread to make eggnog French Toast so instead of the egg mixture you just mix it in eggnog. Super easy and festive!

    1. Never thought about the eggnog! I'm going to have to try that at Christmas time!

  2. YUM! I've never thought of using that bread for french toast. Definitely trying it!

  3. Why did I just look at this, now I'm craving it! Looks amazing and simple!

  4. I have never thought to use cinnamon bread for french toast! That is a fab idea. Love me some french toast.

  5. I never thought of using that bread for french toast either!! Such a good idea! And now I'm wishing I was eating that instead of my yogurt lol. Thanks for sharing! I'll be adding that to my next grocery list!

  6. We have a griddle like that too & love it!! It's perfect for bacon, pancakes, etc.

  7. What a great idea, and that is super easy!

  8. Looks so so good! I am super strange and like my french toast without any bit of sweetness though. I blame my parents, because thats how they made it when I was growing up!

  9. I think I know what we're having for breakfast soon - YUM!
