Five on Friday

Friday, September 25, 2015

Happy Friday, ladies!! I'm so glad we made it through another week - we are so ready for the weekend! This weekend we are headed back to Orlando for my sister-in-law's baby shower! She is due October 31 and we can't wait to celebrate baby Hirst this weekend :)

One
I was so surprised yesterday when I came home to find some beautiful fall flowers and an adorable note from my hubby! He doesn't usually get me flowers, so this was a real treat! *Hopefully* I'll be able to transfer them into my potted mums outside in a few days so I can keep them growing! So glad he embraces my obsession with fall.

Two
I love me a good blanket scarf and Annie did a post on 6 ways to style a blanket scarf. Love her ideas and can't wait to implement them when it gets a little cooler.

Three
I've been noticing that ponchos are becoming a big trend this fall. I wasn't a fan at first, but I'm starting to warm up to the idea. I found this open front poncho at Old Navy the other day and had to try it on. I kinda really liked it (it's so soft!) so maybe it'll be on my Christmas list this year? Please ignore my face - I look grumpy but was just trying to get a pick picture without people seeing me lol

I had to make a quick stop in Target to get some laundry detergent and wandered through the clothes (go figure) to see what new fall stuff they had out. I really liked this sweater (can't find it online). It looks super comfy and would be perfect with skinny jeans or leggings.

Four
I've noticed a lot of people doing this Bible study. It looks really good so I think I'm going to add it to my Christmas list this year but wanted to see if any of y'all have read it before. If you've read it, did you like it?

Five
I decided I want to bake something pumpkin-y on Sunday and think I'm going to go for some pumpkin bread that I made last year. It was actually Leslie's recipe and it turned out delicious. Can't wait to make some more this weekend!

I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

  3. So sweet of your husband to get you flowers! I think the blanket scarf looks super cute on you and should definitely go on your list! I love Shauna Niequist and I've enjoyed her other books. I've had a little difficulty being diligent with the devotional though, but it is still good and I'd recommend it!

  9. I love the surprise flowers, such a nice treat! I have Savor and I LOVE it, put it on your list for sure. Jesus Calling was too much for me, but Savor is like talking to a friend, a lot about her personal life and how it relates to faith/scripture.
