Even though Thanksgiving isn't here yet, it's never too early to start thinking about Christmas cards! I love to make Christmas cards and sending them out and I love receiving other cards as well. For this week's Five on Friday I decided to put together some of my favorite Christmas cards. All of the cards featured in this post are from
Minted because they have some amazing cards!
I want Stephen to design our card this year because it'd be very easy for him, but I'm not really sure after printing them and buying envelopes that it'll be very cost effective. If anyone has any experience with this, I'd love to hear your advice!
One - Pretty Script Cards
This is the type I'd like Stephen to make for us
Two - Chalkboard Cards
Three - Newlywed Cards
Four - Fun Color Cards
Five - Pictureless Cards
I hope these cards help you get a good idea of what you'd like to make this year. Everyone enjoys a great Christmas card!
I love the newlywed cards!! I just got ours in the mail yesterday and we went with Shutterfly! I personally think it might just be easier and less of a headache to go with a pre-made card! Hope you have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteOne year our photographer designed the card for me and I took it to a local print and copy shop and had it printed on cardstock. I believe I purchased the envelopes at office max. It was definitely cheaper and I would consider it again if I was creative enough to create my own card. The other stores just make it so darn easy to create and print these days and there are so many great coupon offers between now and December.
ReplyDeletei love those chalkboard cards! so cute. xo jillian - stop by! I'm hosting a great jewelry giveaway on cornflake dreams
ReplyDeleteI love those chalkboard cards TOO!!!!
ReplyDeleteAnd man oh man - I really need to send thank you cards out from the wedding (that was in October - oops).
Maybe I can send a Thank You for Attending our Wedding, and oh BTW Happy Holidays card - Yes? no?
You could do that! I would suggest if you do that, make sure to personalize the thank you card (have an area on the back of the card or somewhere you can hand write the thank you) so it feels more personalized.
DeleteI love love love picking out holiday cards and have chosen just about every option that you list above. My favorite ones to receive are ones with photos on them ...and thank you for reminding me to get on the ball with choosing ours this year!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you liked the ones I posted today! This year you'll be able to add sweet baby Camille which will add an extra dose of cuteness!
DeleteI have just discovered Minted this past year and I am so excited to use them for our 2014 Christmas cards. I love their selection.
ReplyDeleteStopping by from the link up.

Beautiful! I am kind of digging the chalkboard cards this year! I have made my own before & you are right...unless you can get some good deals on supplies, it is cheaper to order!
ReplyDeleteAll are beautiful, but I'm leaning towards the pretty script cards!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful cards! I love getting Christmas cards and seeing everyone's own style through their card choices. We are going to be pushing the deadline on ours this year since our family pictures aren't happening for another three weeks. Better late than never, right?
ReplyDeleteAlways better late than never ;)
