Confessions

I confess that I'm not into St Patrick's day... I'm not Catholic, I'm not Irish, what do I have to celebrate? I have to admit, I will probably do some fun "green" things when we have kids though
I confess that Spring was here for about 1-2 weeks and now it's straight to summer. It's been 90 degrees when I leave work and my Freon is going out in the car so my ride home is nice and warm ;) I am ready to break out the shorts and head to the beach, though
I confess that I'm so glad we got our screen installed right before all the lake bugs came back. Gosh, those things are straight awful and I don't know how they all get in the house! I can't figure out what they are online and the pest control people say that there's nothing you can do for them
I confess that I can't wait to get some patio furniture! We didn't realize how expensive it was and I feel like if we buy now, we'll miss out on a good deal but now, we're missing out on the nice weather
I confess that I've been the most annoying person at work this week... there's pollen EVERYWHERE and my allergies are a hot mess. Thankfully, I'm getting better but that still doesn't make the nose blowing and coughing less obnoxious
I confess that the Bachelor totally had me fooled!!!! I picked Lauren as the winner and during the whole episode, I thought Jojo was going to win! Someone at work claimed he picked Lauren because of her family and I'm starting to agree. I am excited to watch Jojo as the bachelorette but poor Caila getting the boot! Also, Chris Harrison mentioned the season would premiere in May, I totally thought the Bachelorette was in the fall... am I wrong? It seems so soon!!

I am so glad spring is finally here and with that, I've been eyeing all of the adorable spring clothes, especially the floral ones. I really love the look of a flowy dress with a soft, floral print on it.
Here are some of my favorite spring looks

I feel like I'm ready but not ready for this Monday... ready because the BACHELOR FINALE IS HERE!!! and because we had a great weekend filled with fun and no studying but I'm also not ready because this weekend was fun and my allergies are killing me. Oh well, as is life...
Friday during lunch, I finally treated myself to some shopping. I needed to find an Easter dress since I've already worn everything I have to past Easter's. I found a cute Tommy Hilfiger dress at a local consignment store. I love that it's more causal and has a super fun print so I can wear it during summer evenings and to work.
After work on Friday, we rested and watched some HGTV before heading out to Publix. We needed to get some food for Saturday and if there's nothing going on, we like heading over to the super nice Publix near us and just taking our time walking around... we're such old folks lol Afterwards, we came home and watched A Goofy Movie (lol) before going to bed at 9:30 (again, old folks).
Saturday, we were hosting supper club for the first time at our house so we had lots of cleaning to do. Since we went to bed so early, we were up early and had lots of time to relax and clean the whole house. Stephen was a super trooper and vacuumed all the floors which was amazing so I could get everything else done. We had some time to get a movie in so Iforced suggested that we watch The Intern. It was an adorable movie and didn't expect to like it as much as I did - Stephen even came around and liked it! I definitely suggest watching it :)
After the movie, we got ready for supper club! Stephen wanted to grill out steaks and potatoes so I made baked brie as an appetizer, roasted Brussels sprouts, roasted broccoli for the meal and chocolate tres leches bunt cake. A lot of people asked for our baked brie recipe when I made it last and this time, I remembered to take pictures so I could give it to you!!

Baked Brie:
1 pkg crescent rolls (I use honey butter)
Brie cheese
Apple slices
1/4 cup brown sugar
Optional: honey
1. Un-wrap the crescent rolls and disconnect the two squares. On a pan with parchment paper, place one of the squares down and place the brie on top.
2. Cut the apple into thin slices and place on top of the brie, covering the top. Add the brown sugar and then place the other crescent roll square on top, closing everything inside.
3. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 minutes. Serve with crackers, apples, etc.
This is like the best and easiest recipe ever. It's our go-to for guests and everyone loves it!
Supper club was super fun and we had a great time chatting - it was another late night lol Sunday came very early due to the time change but we rallied and headed to church. We were supposed to go to a spring training game but the club that our friends bought tickets through, cancelled their event. We were super bummed we couldn't go but it worked out for the best - my allergies are out of control and we were exhausted after a late night. We used Sunday to relax, get laundry done, switch out our winter/spring clothes and to start looking into details for our CO trip!!
Speaking of our CO trip, I think we narrowed it down to the middle/end of August and after looking through some hotel websites, we got the idea to check Vacation Rentals by Owner. This site had some great condos in Vail, Glenwood Springs and Breckenridge! Does anyone have any experience with this site or using something similar, especially in CO? I'd love to hear more!!
I cannot believe the Bachelor finale is tonight!! It's going to be EPIC!!!! I think Lauren is going to win but I'm starting to have my doubts... what do y'all think?

I am finally back - and hopefully back for good!!! I've missed this space of mine and I've missed connecting with all y'all :)
One
Being that I'm back, that means I passed my Project Management Certification exam!! I am over the moon that I passed the test and it's over! It was a rough 3 weeks (I know I'm being dramatic) and I'm so ready to get back to real life... I'm sure Stephen's so glad I'm done because I'll stop complaining about it lol Thank you so much for all your prayers and encouragement - it was so sweet and helpful :)

Now that my test is over, I'm ready to get back on a workout plan and be serious about it for the summer. Everyone suggested going to Target for a fun, cheap swimsuit so I'll have to go stalk the shelves in a month or so :) I did look at the Anthropologie swim suits and they have some real adorable ones but that price point is pretty high...
Right now, I'm hoping to go shopping for some new spring clothes. I really want some cute floral things and I also need to find a Easter dress!
I hope everyone has a great weekend!!

Now that the test is over, we're looking forward to a great weekend!! Saturday we're hosting supper club at our house and Sunday we're going to a Nationals spring training game with some friends. I cannot wait to just enjoy the weekend and not have studying looming over my head.

I started following Brooke on Instagram a few weeks ago and I love her paintings! She just released her Charleston collection and I am OBSESSED! I would love to have one of her paintings in our house one day! Maybe it'd be the perfect addition to a nursery one day ;)

I hope everyone had a great weekend - ours was filled with lots of friends and lots of studying!
Friday ended kind of rough - work was busy and filled with a lot of last minute requests from people so couple that with studying and leaving late... I wasn't doing to hot. After all of that, I decided that I wouldn't study Friday night and instead, spend time with Stephen. We watched a few episodes of Fuller House and had a nice dinner. It definitely made me feel better and I'm so glad I didn't worry too much about the test after getting home.
Saturday we were up early because Stephen was going fishing with some new friends. I used that time to study some more before heading out to meet a friend at Starbucks to continue studying. We had a great time chatting (and of course getting some studying done lol). Afterwards, I headed over to Old Navy for their $3 tank top deal (they suck me in every time). I also got sucked into all their new spring clothes - they're killing it right now! I tried on this dress, this romper, this shirt, loved this dress but it was too short, this spring dress and this midi dress but unfortunately, (fortunately for my wallet and Stephen) none of it fit right, so I ended up with two tanks.
After grabbing lunch, I came home and did a practice test and then we got ready to head to Orlando for my SIL's birthday celebration. They were able to come to town on her birthday so it was great getting out and seeing everyone again! We had dinner and drinks at The Sugar Factory and it was a neat experience!! The food wasn't much to rave about but the drinks were delicious and the experience was fun! Stephen and I ventured out of our comfort zone and got their signature Lollipop Passion goblet - now, we didn't go too crazy, we got it non-alcoholic lol.
After dinner we went to a fun country bar to play jenga and two of the boys were brave enough to ride the bull! We then walked around, got pictures in front of the Orlando Eye (I will never ride that thing!) and then ended the night at the bowling alley. Stephen and I called it a night before bowling since we were exhausted and had an hour drive home.
Sunday, we went to church, did grocery shopping, laundry, cleaning a little, bla, bla, bla. Thankfully, our BIL & SIL were able to come by so we could see Siena again! She was SO much more happy this time and we got plenty of Auntie/Uncle time in which was amazing since she wasn't all into us holding her last time we saw them. She's only 4 months and it's amazing how different she is now - she's so much more fun!! lol Unfortunately, we didn't get a picture with her :/ After they left, I did some more tests before calling it a night on Project Management.
I hate how sporadic my posting has been the past few weeks, but this Thursday I'm finally taking my certification test so hopefully Friday I'll be back with some good news! I could definitely use any prayers!
Hope everyone has a great week!

I'm really starting to enjoy these confess sessions! Let's get right into it...
I confess that I was dying while watching this week's Bachelor... Ben told 2 girls he loved them!! WHAT!?! You don't do that!!! Someone is going to have a serious broken heart. I can't wait for the finale!
I confess that I read critics say Fuller House was horrible but we watched it anyways and we both enjoy it! We don't love it and it's total cheese but it's light-hearted and fun to watch! AND... they just announced Season 2!!
I confess that I finally scheduled my PMP exam yesterday and I'm so glad to have it officially on the books. I will be one happy girl come a week from today.
I confess that while we were at Downtown Disney, Stephen and I were obsessed with all the little babies... gah baby fever is creeping in... then a co-worker was on vacation but had to pick something up in the office so he brought his adorable 1 year old son in and I about died. BUT let's not forget about the fact that he did not want me to hold him and last time we saw our niece, she did not like us holding her either... so we'll see how that goes. Thankfully, our BIL, SIL & niece are visiting this weekend and I can't wait to see them! Hopefully Siena lets us hold her this time. (BTW, we are staying strong! No babies anytime soon lol)
I confess that I am so excited that it's March. March is such a great month, it's officially spring and I can shed my winter
I confess that most of my swimsuits are from college and are a few years old. I've decided to lose the weight I've gained since getting married and celebrate with a new, fun swimsuit. I say fun, because they have so many new styles and I'm not as concerned about tan lines since I'm not putting my wedding dress on lol Please send any places to get a fun suit (that's not too much $$) my way!

We had a much needed and wonderful weekend - I would appreciate just one more day ;) After a very long week (3 long weeks for Stephen) and basically not seeing Stephen all week since he would come home late from work, eat and go to bed, we enjoyed relaxing and spending time together. My sister even came down for the weekend which was fantastic and so so good to see her!
A side note: Happy Leap Day - which means nothing but it's every 4 years so it's something to note lol
Friday, my sister came down from school to stay the weekend. After we all got home, we enjoyed relaxing a little (she even got a quick nap in lol) before cooking out. I've been wanting Stephen to grill out hamburgers for a while now and this was the perfect opportunity. It was delicious and the perfect Friday night meal. After dinner, we decided that we had to watch Nacho Libre. My sister and I loved that movie when we were younger and quote it ALL the time - so for old times sake, we watched it and had so many laughs. We were all so tired after the movie that we went to be around 9:30 #oldpeople.
Saturday morning, we woke up and planned on running but it was freezing outside and my sister having some allergy problems, so we decided to take it easy and go on a quick walk. It was great catching up! Afterwards, we made breakfast and got ready to head over to Downtown Disney. My sister is obsessed with Disney and hadn't seen the new DD renovations so we had to go. The weather was beautiful and we had an amazing time walking around - of course, we had to get Ghirardelli's. Afterwards we headed home to relax some more and ended up starting the Fuller House season. I read it was awful but it wasn't that bad! I mean it's a little cheese, but it's a fun show.
Later that night, we abandoned my sister (she knew long before coming up and used the time to study) for our first supper club!! One of Stephen's co-workers wanted to start one and we were so excited! This was actually my first time meeting them but it was a lot of fun and we stayed over there until 12:30 am!! #nolongeroldpeople ;) Poor Caroline was not expecting to be left at home but was glad we had a good time.
Because we didn't get to bed until after 1am, the long week we had and my sister was going to leave before we went to church to get home at a good time, we decided to skip church and watch it online instead. It worked out really well and we got to spend a little more time with her before she left. After she left, I got to studying then we did some errands and then came back home to laundry and studying.
It was such a great weekend and I loved all of the quality time I got with my sister and Stephen - it was much needed. Unfortunately for me, even though my class from last week is over, I've still got some major studying to do before my exam (hopefully) next week so I'll probably be MIA over here for a little while - we'll see how the week goes.
Hope everyone had a great weekend!! Linking up with Biana.

She was so sweet and got me flowers!
Went fancy again with bottled Cokes... so much more fun and the Coke Life wasn't too bad!
Had to get a picture with the pineapple
We like to joke and say we're Anna and Elsa so we got a picture with the dolls and then realized we color coordinated with them!
