Weekending

Monday, October 30, 2017

Really, this blog post should be titled "the weekend we binged watched Stranger Things 2". Thankfully, this was our first and last weekend for a while that we didn't have anything big planned which just so happened to be the same weekend Stranger Things 2 came out... and I'm not even going to pretend that we didn't start it Saturday and finished it Sunday after church. I do have to say, it was really good! Stephen and I were both so into it and think it was probably better than season 1 (although I don't remember too much from Season 1).

Outside of our TV watching, we had a fun little date night on Friday night. We hit up the mall for a bunch of things we needed to get - y'all it got real crazy when Stephen suggested we get another PSL on our way into Target ;) So we did what anyone else would do when you get a PSL and it's cool outside, we took some pictures lol! We spent the rest of the night shopping and finished it up with dinner at Longhorn.

Saturday morning, I woke up super early and headed over to Orlando for the breast cancer 5k with some of my co-workers. It was fun and I'm glad we were able to get in some exercise early in the morning. The rest of the day we watched Stranger Things 2, I embroidered a ton and then watched more episodes before going to bed.

Sunday, we went to church, ran a few more small errands, finished up Stranger Things 2 and finished up another embroidery order. Overall, it was a really nice and relaxing weekend!! We are officially booked through the month of November so it's going to be a really busy, but fun month! Linking up with Biana.

Five on Friday

Friday, October 27, 2017

How crazy is it that this is the last Friday in October and we officially have less than 2 months until Christmas!? I honestly can't believe it and even though this is my absolute favorite time of year, I wish it would slow down a little. I'm sure November will go even faster because we're going to be pretty busy but with all fun events :)

One
I have two delicious, colder weather recipes to share with you today. The first one is the black bean, sweet potato and turkey chili recipe that my friend made for our #BasicFallParty. Every time she's made this recipe, it's been a huge hit!! She said she used this recipe and also added in some cooked, ground turkey.

Two
The second recipe is Owen's crockpot quiona Mexican casserole. Thankfully, I had this dish planned before I knew the colder weather was coming so this hit the spot. I've been going through a phase where I'm not a huge fan of Mexican-type food (outside of Tex Mex) but I couldn't get enough of this stuff! This will definitely be on repeat in our house.

Three
I'm sure everyone is saying the same thing but I am legit obsessed with this cooler weather! We have been so excited to have real fall weather the past few days and even though it's supposed to be in the 80's again today, we all loved the weather in Florida while it lasted. Since it was cooler, I busted out my fall clothes for work and even curled my hair ;)

Try to ignore the dusty mirror... cleaned it the 2nd day lol
Sweater (need one of these in every color) / Skirt - last season / Boots (SimilarSimilar) / Purse (Kate Spade Outlet)

Sweater (old) / Button Down / Pants / Shoes (old) / Necklace (on sale!)

Four
I recently found a new, fun podcast which is just in time for Halloween. It's called Deadly Manners and it's a fictional thrilled based on a 1950's murder mystery and is voiced by Hollywood actors. It definitely captures you and at ~30 minutes an episode, it's not too much overload (although I do hate having to wait for the next episodes).

Five
With all of this beautiful weather, we've been coming home after work and going on bike rides through the neighborhood. We love being able to get out and enjoy the weather while getting in some exercise!

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I will be utilizing my time by working on all my PPE orders and tomorrow morning I'm doing the breast cancer walk with some co-workers in downtown Orlando.

Recent Finds

Thursday, August 24, 2017

When I was in Tennessee with my family a few weeks ago, I did some great shopping with my favorite shopping partner - my mom. We did some shopping in Chattanooga and at the Pigeon Forge Outlets! One of the biggest deals I found was at the Lennox outlet store - I found my Kate Spade china set on sale for $22... that's right, $22 and originally it was $150 a set!! Anyways, I wanted to share the items I found since they're still available.

I found this adorable skirt from J Crew Factory and loved it instantly. I decided to pair it with a casual chambray shirt and these adorable shoes for work. I found the shoes on clearance at DSW for $12 - I couldn't pass them up!! And to my surprise, they're actually really comfy! I need band aids on the back of my heels but other than that, they're great! I also recently discovered that they are almost exact dupes for these Kate Spade shoes.

I also found this structured, bell sleeve shirt that I really like! I think it's a fun twist on the bell sleeve without being too in your face.

I snagged these fun, mirrored sunglasses at J Crew too! I love how these are different, yet are still tortoise. I decided to test out the ascot look and love how it turned out! The cutest lady stopped me at Publix to tell me how cute it was. This is my mom's ascot from J Crew earlier this spring but I found one similar here

I saw these socks were on clearance and since they had a tacky side on the back, I wanted to give them a shot because the ones I have usually fall down. I was excited when they didn't fall down once while we were at Disney!

While at the outlets, I decided to pop into J Crew again and found these wedges on sale for 50% off and have been looking for a cute pair of wedges that aren't too high. I got the tan color and not black but I'm really looking forward to wearing them more next spring/summer.

Lastly, I saw tons of pictures of the N-sale cardigan that everyone seemed to be buying. I ran into Old Navy and snagged this one which looks like a total dupe and for a lot less money. I love that it's very slimming, especially skinny jeans and I can't wait to be able to wear it in the fall :) My mom loved it so much, she bought one for herself and my sister!

I got into the habit of not shopping but that weekend had too many good deals to pass up ;) Linking up with Annie

What I Wore in Charleston

Thursday, March 30, 2017

Since I loved wearing this dress around Charleston (minus the wind and constant surprise updrafts) and Stephen took so many good photos, I thought I'd dedicate a whole post to it. It was so much fun running through the streets with Stephen - he loved taking pictures of everything :) Most of these pictures were taken at Waterfront Park and the feeder streets near Bay Street and Broad Street.

New Premium Pineapple Monograms

Wednesday, February 1, 2017

Like I said on Monday, I embroidered a hat and purse over the weekend so Stephen and I took them out to get some pictures on Saturday. We had the best time exploring a new town and getting some pictures of my newest items. I'm so thrilled with how they turned out - even though the monogram on the purse is small, it completely transforms it for me.

Stephen's really taken to my new camera and I think he's doing a wonderful job with the pictures! These are really for my business accounts but they turned out so well, I had to share them here too. While I'm at it, I'm going to do a shameless plug - I'm now selling the monogrammed purse for $20 +shipping and the hat is $15 +shipping. All can be customized and there are multiple color options for both items. If you're interested, you can email me at premiumpineappleembroidery@gmail.com or leave a comment on this blog post :)

Congratulations if you made it to the bottom of the post! Next time we'll have to limit the amount of photo locations per outfit ;)
