Camilla's Bridal Weekend | Part 1

Monday, March 23, 2015

This weekend was all about celebrating the bride to be, Camilla! We had such a blast with her bridal shower Saturday morning and bachelorette party Saturday night. We all went to UCF together and met in our sorority freshman/sophomore year and became life long friends. After college, everyone moved out of state for jobs or grad school so we rarely get to see each other. It was so crazy that it had been over a year since we were together but it felt like literally only a week had gone by. I don't know how in the world I don't see these girls often anymore - we had so much fun celebrating Camilla this weekend and catching up!

Saturday morning, Erin and her mom hosted an amazingly beautiful shower chalked full of Pinterest details! It was so beautiful and there were lots of  fun games planned.

They had the cutest little drink station setup!

They even hand-made these adorable glasses! So glad we got to take one home ;)

They had an adorable "Date Night" station setup where we all wrote date night ideas on a heart and Camilla got to take the mason jar full home

Candy bar

Loved that they had personalized m&m's at the candy bar! I've never actually seen these in real life and they turned out so great!

They made sooo much delicious food!

Missed this adorable MOH

With the Bride!

MOH

Had to get an outfit pic ;) My skirt is from Chicwish

We played a "Who has the Groom?" game - Camilla didn't win, but she got her groom ;)

We didn't win either, but that's alright

She was about to take that puppy home as a wedding gift ;)

Erin did an amazing job with the bouquet

A bride and her cupcake wedding dress

Stay tuned for Part 2 tomorrow - the bachelorette party!

Happy Spring!

Friday, March 20, 2015

One
Today is the first day of Spring!! Even though in Florida, it feels like we skipped Spring and went straight to Summer, I'm loving the shorts and dresses weather!

Two
For me, unfortunately, with Spring comes awful allergies. Like they're awful!! I feel so bad for my poor co-workers who are hearing me blow my nose and talk in a loud man voice endlessly. This has been the 5th year Stephen and I have been together and he still thinks I am sick and contagious when allergies strike. I've done everything to try to relieve them but nothing works... oh well, hopefully they won't last too much longer.

This is legit me right now (via)

Three
Tomorrow we are having an all-day celebration for my sweet friend and bride-to-be Camilla. Her bridal shower is in the morning and then that night is her bachelorette party. I am so so so excited to see my old college girlfriends and celebrate Camilla!

Four
We finally got our Disney tickets in the mail this week! We are so excited to go back to Disney in April with my family!

Five
Yesterday's post was all about swim suits since it's now officially Spring and in the high 80's. I received an email saying Old Navy's swim suits are all 50% off and then I saw on another blog that Aerie is having a BOGO 50% off sale this week. These swim suits are a lot more affordable than the choices from yesterday and they're super adorable.

Spring = Swim Suits

Thursday, March 19, 2015

With the temperatures in the high 80's, I can't help but think of getting out to the pool and beach soon. Here are some of cute swim options that would be perfect for a pool or beach day:

1 / 2 / 3 / 4 / 5 / 6

I've noticed cute one pieces are coming back in style. I still don't think I'll wear a one piece until after I've had kids (I was scarred as a kid with one pieces) but it's great to know there's still some cute options for moms!

What are some of the new swim suit styles you're loving this season?

Italian Pasta Salad

Tuesday, March 17, 2015

One of our go-to dinners is a super easy Italian pasta salad. You can alter this recipe to fit really any appetite. After a long weekend of celebrating and partying, we decided that this would be the perfect meal to make on Sunday.

Ingredients
- Pasta (or use salad for a healthier version)
- Black olives
- Tomatoes
- Cheese
- Salami
- Pepperoni
- Italian salad dressing

Directions
1. Cook the pasta and then combine all the ingredients together. (Can't get any more easier than that)

2. Pour the Italian dressing on top - this all depends on your taste and how much you want on your salad.

You can add whatever else you want to the pasta salad. It is better served cold so chill the pasta in the fridge before serving.

Babies and a Wedding

Monday, March 16, 2015

I'm going to give a warning at the beginning of this post: there are a lot of pictures. The wedding we went to was straight out of Pinterest so I went a little camera crazy...

Friday night was nice and relaxing: we cooked brats and watched Gods and Kings (the new Moses movie). I would say don't waste your time watching the move. It was very un-Biblical; we had many "that's not in the Bible" moments. I'd stick to The Prince of Egypt (still not 100% accurate but wayyyy more on point than Gods and Kings).

Saturday we headed over to Tampa for a wedding but first we stopped in to see one of my close friends from high school and meet her new baby, Noah. Susannah is my only friend from high school that I still keep in touch with and I always love the time I get to spend with her. I really wish we lived closer, but at least we have Skype and her kids have early bed times ;)

Sorry for the bad quality, my phone altered the pictures since it can't process high quality pictures (only a few more weeks until an upgrade!)

Daniel was more interested in his Disney show lol P.S. how amazing does Susannah look after having a baby 2 months ago!? I need to find out this secret ;)

After visiting with Susannah and her hubby, we drove over to the wedding. Joe and Lauren were in all of Stephen's classes and were on the same Senior Design team! It wasn't until after Senior Design that they became bf/gf and now they're married! I also have a friend from school who met her current bf in our engineering classes. Guess all those study hours bring people together in mysterious ways ;) Being engineers, they got married on Pi day (3.14.15) and they're wedding was STUNNING - like straight out of Pinterest. Here are a plethora of pictures so enjoy... (the wedding was at Cross Creek Ranch right outside of Brandon, FL)

Wanted to try out getting an overall outfit shot. This is my new dress that I picked up from T.J. Maxx a few weeks ago

I was dying over the barn with the monogram and flowers

The cute little sitting area for cocktail hour

The program (sorry it's blurry)

This was a semi-open air chapel on the property where the ceremony took place

The outside of the chapel

LOVED their guest book

The barn had 3 stalls; one for the photo booth, one for the appetizers during cocktail hour and one for dinner.

Loved that their signature drinks were a "'Cosmo'naut" and an "Afterburner"; odes to their Aerospace degrees

Since we didn't know anyone at the wedding, we ran around during cocktail hour and took pictures of each other.

This is how Stephen wanted to pose in the photo booth stall - he cracks me up

My hubby lookin' sharp!

I loved that their plates were a variety of china sets

First dance as hubby and wife!

Toasts from the parents

We finally found someone to take pictures of us in the photo booth!

Stephen was breaking it down on the dance floor! This guy seriously loves to dance! We were also the only ones who knew the steps to the Electric Slide and the Wobble... their families must've thought we were crazy lol

We had a great weekend seeing old friends and celebrating at a wedding! We slept in on Sunday then drove home and took another nap! Hope everyone else had a great weekend :)
