Five on Friday

Happy Friday!! I'm still recovering from Camilla's Wedding last weekend so we're grateful for a relatively low key weekend at home. We'll be hopefully continuing the house hunt this weekend so we'll see if we find anything good.

One
Happy Mother's Day weekend! Happy Mother's Day to all the new moms and the moms who have been around the block a few times. I am so thankful for my mom and the childhood she gave us. She is my best friend and I love spending time with her. I'm so bummed I won't get to spend Mother's Day with her, but thankfully I'll get to see her in less than 2 weeks!

Two
I know this is week-old news but I am obsessed with the fact that Kate Middleton had a little girl and that her name is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana! I have always loved both the names Charlotte and Elizabeth but Stephen doesn't like them all that much so I can't be counting on those names anymore if we have girls. Can we please talk about how amazing Kate looks the same day she gave birth!!!?? How is this human? I wish I looked this good on an everyday basis.

Three
One of the meals we made this week was steak with stuffed zucchini boats which turned out amazing. Usually when I make the boats, I put chicken in them and make that the meal but this time I decided to use smaller zucchini's and make it a side. I really liked them better as a side and without chicken (it should be noted I'm not big on grilled chicken so that's a big part of it).

Four
When I was younger and living at home with my parents, I was know as the lizard girl. I was always the first one called when a lizard was in the house and needed to be removed. Now I hated catching lizards with my hands but I became really good at catching lizards with cups and throwing them back outside. The other night, I noticed a lizard on our wall and went straight to work Stephen was so impressed

Five
Stephen had to work a 12 hour shift last night until 3 am so I decided to whip up some funfetti cookies as a surprise for him. Other than the fact that I didn't have delicious frosting, the cookies were pretty good and a nice surprise!

Please ignore the fact that these are Valentine's Day cookies lol

I hope everyone has a great weekend enjoying your mom or being a mom yourself!

If you missed my tips for Disney yesterday, you can see that post here.
